A little about us… Six months ago (yes…6) this started off as a soup recipe blog until we saw how much people liked our recipes. So we decided to make our blog into something bigger and now here we are!

We make fresh, handmade seasonal soups with ingredients from our local growers and artisans. We always explore new recipes and flavor combinations, and above all aim to delight people with our soups.
Although we are small (but steadily growing), we serve up to three recipes from our repertoire of 50+ soups every week, always offering a vegan and vegetarian option upon request.

Our Soup’s On Deck for this week!

Caldo de Res
This is an extremely hearty and satisfying soup. The hind shank flavors the broth beautifully as does the marrow in the bones. Garnish with slivered raw onion, lime juice, jalapenos, and more cilantro.

Albondigas Soup
Classic Mexican soup made with meatballs (albondigas), green beans, onions, and chicken stock. A family favorite. Albondigas soup is a traditional Mexican meatball soup (“albondigas” means “meatballs” in Spanish) that my mother has cooked for our family for more than 50 years. It is our version of comfort food.

Birria de Res
Birria is usually made with goat’s meat or even with lamb or a combination of several types of meat. Cooking time using the Instant Pot or Pressure cooker. The use of a combination of meats is common in restaurants or local Birria eateries known as “Birrierias”. Beef Birria is more like a homemade version since beef is more accessible everywhere.
